Public Service Announcements are offered as a community service by Rev FM. They are reserved for non-profit organizations, for publicizing events or services, and for requesting volunteers. Public Service Announcements can only be submitted by email to psa@revfm.net. All potential PSA’s should be submitted at least 2 weeks prior to the event. We prefer to get prepared scripts, but you can also send us a press release or brochure. Please include a telephone number that our listeners can contact for more information. We also recommend including a web address and/or an email address.
Crossroads Pregnancy Center and Calvary Bible Church are hosting pro life event to help equip Christians in how to have meaningful conversations in our daily lives. The event is taking place February 28th from 10-2pm at Calvary Bible Church in Lewistown. Scott Klusendorf (prolife author, speaker and activist) will be equipping us with knowledge and strategies to help save the lives of the unborn. Registration is $10 and lunch is included. New Life Worship Center Tax Team will e-file federal and state refunds and get your local returns for you to mail in. We also complete Property Tax and Rent Rebates and have an APP. We ask for a donation for at least $30, can give more and all funds goes to 18 nonprofits in the local area we support. Last year, we served 1630 clients to get over $3M worth of refunds and raised over $75K. This service saves our clients up to $500K in tax preparation fees. After the Battle, a support group for U. S. Military Veterans will be held on the second Monday of each month at the Overflow Church on 5th Avenue in Altoona. The group’s purpose is to address the epidemic of Veteran’s suicide. The meetings are held from 7-9p
Celebrate Recovery is a Christ-centered recovery program, that will come along side of you, to help you to have complete victory over all of your hurts, habits and hang-ups. You will find strength, hope and encouragement waiting for you at Celebrate Recovery. There is a meeting on Wednesdays from 5:30 to 8p at the TriCounty Church Clearfield Campus. Just for Jesus Challenge Homeless Outreach Ministry has created the FREELY GIVEN CLOSET, on the grounds of the church, located at 5413 Route 219 in Brockport, the closet faces Route 219 and is immediately past the Horton Township property. The closet is self-serve and open 24/7. Anyone in need is welcome to visit the closet and take whatever they are in need of: Non-perishable food, Winter coats, Blankets, Shoes and Boots, Gloves and Socks plus Warm clothing (men’s and women’s). There is also a notebook at the closet for visitors to write down anything else they are in need of, with their name and phone number. Bishop Wisor will try to help however he can.
